Wander you on the lanes of The Da Vinci Code through the inner city of Vienna. Find out more about Leonardo da Vinci, Jesus and the Holy Grail. Begin you at the Minoritenkirche, where you can see a mosaic of the last supper of Leonardo da Vinci in original size which is unique in Europe. It was given in task by Napoleon I. and created by the Roman Giacomo Raffaelli in 1805. Except for few details, the mosaic is similar to the original truly. Consider the persons be around Jesus and its gestures. Above all consider you the young man to the left in addition to Jesus: it should be John, but his feminine features are nevertheless non-misjudge, as in the original of Leonardo da Vinci.
The Minoritenkirche. On the left side of the altar of the church stand John the Baptist, to the right of the altar the apostle John with good youthful appearance. On this side is a memorial of Pietro Metastasio, the librettist and expert of Mozart. Below a relief which shows Mozart with Salieri, that are blessed of Pope Pius VI. Mozart should supposedly have belonged to the Freemasonic lodge. Outside at the portal of the church is a crucifixion scene to see with Mary Magdalene the cup in the hands.
The mosaic of the last supper in the Minoritenkirche. Over the Kohlmarkt and the Graben go it to the Stephansdom. The cathedral is also confessed by its number symbolism, where the number 37 plays a big role that follows from the heavenly number 3 (trinity) and the earth number 4 (4 + 3 = 7). The cathedral is three time 37, therefore 111 feet broad and he is 333 feet long. The southern tower is 444 feet high and 7 times 7 times 7 stages therefore 343 steps lead to the tower room up. Pagan symbols also find themselves in the cathedral and at the cathedral. At the portal outside right and left on two column motives phallus and vagina to be seen as symbols of the evil. The number 3 as the number 9 (check-sum of 333) is also associated narrowly with Jesus. He was born in the 12th month (1 + 2 = 3), he spokes at 12 years for the first time before the temple priests, he began his mission in the age of 30 years, he was crucified in the 3rd hour, he died in the 9th hour, he was buried on the 9th day and he rose on the 3rd day - and he was 33 years old at the date of his death. For some years is in the Stephansdom, in the Wiener Neustädter Altar (to the left in front), is a copy of the Shroud of Turin to see, the alleged corpse shroud of Jesus. A dating of the original in the cathedral to Turin, in 1988, has shown an age between 1260 to 1390 after Christ, however doubts about dating were registered by experts. On the linen, the blood group AB was found allegedly.
A copy of the Shroud of Turin into the Stephansdom. In the underground railway station Stephansplatz, you can see down to the Virgil chapel and you can see a paw cross at the wall, the symbol of the Knights Templar.
The paw cross in the Virgilkapelle. Then goes outside further into the Kärntner Straße and then left into the Weihburggasse and further rightly into the Rauhensteingasse. There to the number 3 is the former seat of the Freemasonic lodge in Vienna. Consider the gate with its versatile symbols. Different crosses and two squares joined into each other. The fouir sides means: 4 times 2 is 8, the number of the completeness. Opposite on no. 8 stands the dying house of Mozart.
The door of the former Freemasonic lodge in Vienna. Go back to the Stephansplatz
over the Graben and over the Kohlmarkt to the Michaelerplatz. It goes
through the Michaelertor there, left to the Schweizertor into the Schweizer
Hof to the treasury jamber. You expect numerous relics there in the treasury
jamber (consider opening hours) from the treasure of the Habsburgs, under it
a piece of the wood and a nail of the cross of Jesus Christ and the Holy
Grail in the form of an agate bowl from presumably the 4th century after
Christ. You can see the letters XRISTO on the bowl (click on the image). Agate bowl - The Holy Grail in Vienna.
