What's New

Our summer was full of travel, of learning, of networking, of caring for business, and of renewing contacts with friends and family in North America. September and October will see us back traveling in Europe from our base in Innsbruck, while November will having Peter traveling to New York for a consultation on James and Paul. In December we hope to remain close to Innsbruck and have family come to us.

Judy continues to develop

Judy still doing Member Care

One reason that Judy is spending three months in North America is so that she can attend the American Association of Christian Counselors convention in Nashville. She gives out a lot in counseling, and she felt a need for input.

As part of the Member Care network, Judy continues to counsel missionaries from various groups, Austrians and  German-speaking church leaders from a 300 km radius. She attended a Member Care conference in May, which has inspired her for the future.

   Mentoring
An increasing number of church leaders are looking to Peter for mentoring. Often this merges into counseling, with or without Judy's involvement.

Peter's Teaching

  Health
Judy's health has continued to improve during her time in North America. In fact, that time did good things for everything other than our waistlines!

We also received the gift of a personal development seminar, SuperChoices, which not only put us in a resort on beautiful Vancouver Island, but also pushed us to take a hard look at our lives and ministry and what we will do to program in the necessary time to care for ourselves so that we can care for others better.

Peter's teaching has been focused on the fall, when he will teach in the Netherlands and Germany in two different programs.

  Summer Travel

Thanksgiving

June 15 Judy flew to Texas and then on San Diego for a family wedding. After attending a consultation on theological education in Austria, Peter flew to Vancouver on June 23. Then followed a week on Vancouver Island, two weeks in Vancouver (visiting our son and our friends and supporters) and two weeks in Calgary (visiting our daughter and her family). A big highlight was preaching at the Sunday service of two Choices seminars, where over 50 people made a choice to follow Jesus. Peter was also thankful to be able to attend the Studiorum Novi Testamentum Societas meeting in Montreal, for that was a stimulating time.

We are thankful for the renewing of relationships and recharging of our selves that took place in North America, as well as for the business that we were able to attend to.

We are also thankful to have a home to come back to, and, indeed, to have each other. Simply sitting and talking together over a cup of tea can be a rich gift.
