Astro Physics 130EDT

Latest update: 01.08.2006

Here are some photos of my Astro Physics 130EDT. It is the best scope I've ever had; period. I am predominantly a visual observer. Despite only 5 inches of aperture it shows enough deep sky objects to keep one busy for years.

The scope has a removable dex cap that slides backward over the lens cell to reduce transportation length.

This is the lens (I rarely clean it)

My model is already older (of 1999 vintage) and cannot be upgraded to a dual speed Feather-Touch focuser.

Therefore I helped my self and added this arm to the focus knob

I mount the scope on a Vixen GP-DX with a SkySensor GoTo system. This mount is just barely adequate for visual observations if there is no wind.
