General Information in English

This beautiful villa built in 1899, was originally meant to be a summer residence of the noblepeople of the late Monarchy. After the death of the lady, who built the house, friends of her from Vienna inheritated the villa and started running it as a pension for paying guests. Since this time the villa remained in the posession of the family, so that nowadays many pieces of the original furniture are still in the house and this gives you the impression of entering into another period in time. Equipped with today's comforts, it now is a lovely place to spend your summer holidays.

Inside you can see the Italian architectural influences such as the 4 imposing pillars in the hall on the ground floor and the furnishing of the hall on the first floor with Venetian lamps and mirrors. The Bösendorfer piano from 1878 gives the atmosphere of former days and contributes to the feeling of 100 years ago, especially when the piano is played during house concerts. The house also offers a comfortable sitting room with satellite TV, a breakfast room with views of the lake and mountains and a library (also with English books) on the second floor.

The villa is surrounded by a garden with children's playground and is centrally located in the historical resort of Millstatt some 150 m from the lake with a beautiful view on the lake and the mountains. You can reach the centre of the resort with supermarket, the baroque church (where different concerts are performed during the summer months), the tourist office, the post office, the bus stop and various restaurants in 5-10 minutes on foot from the villa.
